FE Analysis - Constraints

FE Analysis for CoCreate Modeling 2008 provides embedded finite element analysis to any designer so they can quickly optimize their product designs. Using the most common types of analysis, including stress levels, thermal behavior, displacements, and resonant frequencies, designers can analyze any design with this add-on module to CoCreate Modeling 2008.

The module is designed to allow non-specialists to quickly and easily make informed judgements about the design as it evolves.

Key features include:

  • Complete and fully integrated into Modeling.
  • Comprehensive analysis types including Linear Static, Linear Buckling, Nomalr Modes, and steady state thermal analysis.
  • customisable large material library.
  • Leading Mesh generator based on MSC technology.
    • Linear and Quadratic Tetrahedral elements.
    • adative h and p elements.
    • shell elements tailored for sheet metal part analysis.
    • surface mesh.
  • Mesh export cabality via Patran Neutral file.
  • Part and assembly meshing.
  • World class solver technology to allow solution of unlimited degree of freedom models (machine dependant)

Advanced features include:

  • Thermal and linear static analyses can be combined. The initial thermal analysis acts as a load and boundary condition for the subsequent structural analysis.

  • Semi-automatic and full automatic selection of mating faces for assembly analysis - resultant mating constrainst are shown in usual structure browser.
