CoCreate 3D Access

What does it do?

CoCreate 3D Access 2008 is a multi-purpose CAD viewer for displaying 3D and 2D design data including native Modeling 2008 files and neutral formats such as IGES, STEP, SAT and Autodesk's DWG and DXF. Key features include:

  • Measure geometric information such as distance, radius, and angle dimensions.
  • View non-geometric information like notes and annotations.
  • Create high-resolution pictures for documentation.
  • Define sections using one of six clipping planes.
  • CoCreate Modeling Data & Process Interfaces are also available as an add-on so that you can perform these tasks with all popular 3D CAD formats.
Who is it for?

CoCreate 3D Access 2008 is for anyone who wants to view and inspect CoCreate’s Modeling files and other 3D models, yet does not need a powerful design solution. This could be a member of a manufacturing, inspection, and/or documentation department in companies that design with CoCreate’s Modeling product. Or it could be partners such as suppliers and clients who work with other companies that design with Modeling.

How can it help you?

Typically, when non-designers need to access model data, designers must generate a 2D drawing or a neutral model in STEP, IGES, etc. This creates extra work for the designer. Plus, some of the richness of the design is lost by limiting the non-designer to neutral information.

With 3D Access, nobody needs to wait for the designer to create a file that anyone can read. Instead, non-designers simply open the same file the designer uses without the threat of making unauthorized changes.

This leads to fewer misunderstandings and quicker development time throughout the design chain.
